Deck the halls... with some fun things to do for Christmas

As it gets closer and closer to Christmas, we are all trying to find clever ways to make our homes more ‘Christmassy’. A couple of things you could consider are:
Gift wrap to set the theme

Wrap your gifts in brown or white paper with different coloured ribbon or with a decorative piece – this looks great under the tree. A roll of brown paper can take care of them all and can be colour coded to who the receiver is with the ribbon. Or wrap presents in a tea towel or place mat – not only practical for the receiver but also lovely to look at.
Get creative with your Christmas décor
Get the kids to make decorations for the tree, give them free rein and it could be the talking point of your home as well as a lot of fun. You can use all sorts of regular household items, such as icy pole sticks or disposable containers – amazing what a bit of glitter and felt pens can do for the finishing touches.
Set the table
Setting the table with your favourite Christmas colours can give that Christmassy feeling as soon as you walk in – coloured tinsel, a centre piece or just some well placed baubles can do the trick.
